Oak Park residents can grab a free cup of coffee and talk public safety at the Onion Roll on Friday, June 26.
The E.C.H.O. Exchange, a monthly drop-in event, runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at the North Avenue bakery (6935 North Ave.). Members of the Village's E.C.H.O. team, the Oak Park Police Department, and the Oak Park Fire Department will be on hand to answer questions and connect residents with resources.
E.C.H.O. — Engaging Community for Healthy Outcomes — is a Village pilot program that dispatches non-police responders to behavioral health crises, homelessness calls, and other non-emergency 911 requests. The Exchange events rotate to different locations each month, according to the Village Manager's Weekly Report published June 18.

Ridgeland Avenue feedback deadline: Wednesday, July 8
Separately, the Village is collecting public comment on a planned 2027 resurfacing of Ridgeland Avenue between Augusta Street and North Avenue. Beyond new asphalt, proposed improvements include refuge islands, curb bump-outs, and traffic diverters with turn restrictions, according to Village planning documents.
Residents can submit comments through Wednesday, July 8, at oak-park.us/RidgelandFeedback.
