Oak Park residents can drop off sensitive documents and No. 6 foam products for free disposal Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Public Works Center.

The Village of Oak Park announced the paper shredding and foam recycling event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon at 201 South Blvd. The shredding service accepts personal documents residents want destroyed securely.

The foam recycling portion takes products stamped with the No. 6 recycling symbol, a plastic category most curbside programs do not accept. Both services are free.

Details are available on the Village event page. Residents with questions can contact the Oak Park Public Works Department at (708) 358-5700 or [email protected].
